Remarkable adds two to senior creative team

Endemol Shine UK-owned production house Remarkable has strengthened its creative team with the promotion of Dom Waugh (pictured, left) and the appointment of Paul Brassey (right).

Waugh has been elevated to creative director of entertainment, where he will be responsible for developing and producing original entertainment formats for the UK and international markets. He will continue to work alongside the company’s roster of in-house executive producers, including Richard Hague.

Waugh began his career at Endemol Shine UK in 2001 through the creative intern program before developing series for BBC, ITV and Sky. He would later return to Remarkable in 2010 as head of development, before being named executive producer in 2014.

His EP credits include BBC1′s Pointless and Pointless Celebrities, BBC2′s Two Tribes and Channel 4′s The Million Pound Drop. He also helped to create such game shows as C4′s The Bank Job and ITV’s Ejector Seat.

Brassey, meanwhile, has been named head of entertainment development. He joins Remarkable from ITV Studios-owned entertainment label Possessed where he most recently served as head of development. 

Prior to this, Brassey held development roles at CPL Productions, BBC Entertainment, North One Television and 12 Yard. His credits include Sky1′s BAFTA-winning series A League of Their Own, ITV’s The Colour of Money, and BBC’s Beat the Pack and Are You an Egghead.

Part of Endemol Shine Group, Remarkable focuses on creating game shows, entertainment, factual and features programming, including BBC1′s Animal Park (w/t), Pointless and Pointless Celebrities ; BBC2′s The House that £100K Built; Channel 4′s Bodyshockers, The Million Pound Drop and Supersize vs Superskinny; and Sky1′s forthcoming spelling series The Big Spell.
