Spike promotes Tori Socha

Viacom-owned network Spike TV has upped Tori Socha (pictured) to VP of original series.

The new position will allow Socha to continue the network’s expansion in the non-scripted arena in addition to overseeing Spike’s current and original series. She will continue reporting to Chachi Senior, senior VP of original series.

Socha first joined Spike in November 2013 as senior director of programming and development. She currently serves as executive in charge of the network’s tattooing series Ink Master, singing series Caraoke Showdown and special Tracks. She also developed Ink Master spin-off series Ink Master: Redemption, which is currently in its third season.

Prior to this, Socha served as director of alternative programming at NBCUniversal-owned net Syfy, developing such series as Ghost Mine and Heroes of Cosplay; and as manager of development at TLC. She began her career at William Morris Agency, CBS and Discovery Studios.
