Terra Mater Factual Studios’ David Attenborough’s Light on Earth (pictured), Louie Psihoyos’ Racing Extinction and Vulcan Productions’ Mind of a Giant are among the finalists vying for top honors at this year’s Jackson Hole Science Media Awards.

The awards look to celebrate the world’s leading science storytellers and span 22 categories across the genres of science, health and medicine, environment, and technology and innovation.

This year’s finalists were selected by a panel of more than 115 international judges from upwards of 500 entries competing for 25 awards. Winners will be announced at a gala celebration on September 21 at the Harvard Art Museum in Boston.

Films will be showcased and honored at the Science Media Awards and Summit at the Hub (SMASH), a project of Jackson Hole Wild, at WGBH Studios in Boston between September 20 and 22.
