Travel Channel has hired showrunner and former Discovery exec Anna Geddes (pictured) as director of programming.

Based in Knoxville, Tennesee, she will manage development and production of series and specials for the Scripps Networks Interactive-owned cable net.

Anna Garwood, who left Travel in January to join BSTV as VP of development, was previously director of programming and talent relations, but primarily focused on talent.

Geddes has worked as showrunner on TLC’s Say Yes to the DressBravo’s Newlyweds: The First Year and Ladies of London, and Discovery’s American Treasures.

Prior to that, she was an executive producer and director of production for Discovery, where she launched Naked & Afraid, American Guns, Dirty Jobs: Down Under and Doomsday Bunkers.

Her producing credits also include Miami Ink, The Rachel Zoe Project and Steven Segal: Lawman.
