Blue Ant Media has appointed former Red Bull Media House exec Anthony Jewitt to the newly created role of director of partnerships for Love Nature, the 4K wildlife and nature SVOD service.

Based out of the firm’s London offices, Jewitt (pictured) will be tasked with overseeing the digital platform’s global SVOD and linear television distribution, excluding North America. Blue Ant International will continue to manage the fledgling network’s program sales.

Jewitt most recently served as director of affiliate sales and programming at Red Bull Media House, where he was responsible for overseeing the launch and distribution of the net’s subscription linear television service across northern Europe. Prior to this, he held a variety of leading sales roles at such companies as Viacom and BBC Worldwide.

He will join the Love Nature team at next month’s MIPCOM market in Cannes where he will pursue affiliate sales and partnership opportunities.

Love Nature launched earlier this year as a 4K linear channel and 4K digital platform across 32 countries as part a joint venture between Blue Ant Media and Smithsonian Networks. The service offers the largest library of 4K wildlife and nature content in the world, producing more than 200 hours of 4K nature and wildlife content annually.

“Anthony brings over a decade of experience in global content distribution and partnerships to his role as director of partnerships,” said Jo Parkinson, MD of Love Nature International, in a statement. “By leading the charge with international affiliate relations and platform partnerships, Anthony will be a key player in Love Nature’s mission to bring our library of stunning 4K natural history content to wildlife and nature lovers across the globe.”
