Fox has ordered The F Word, a food variety show based on a UK series of the same name from Michelin-star chef and series host Gordon Ramsay.

The U.S. version of the series is scheduled to bow in 2017. And like the original British format, it will air live as foodie families from across the U.S. battle against each other in a high-stakes cook-off. In addition to impressing Ramsay with their culinary fare, each team must win over the diners, celebrities and VIP guests whom they are serving.

Each one-hour episode will also see the MasterChef and Hotel Hell producer chatting with guests and VIPs in the dining room, hosting live remotes with people from across the country and appearing weekly in field segments with fans, foodies and other culinary experts.

The F Word is produced by Ramsay’s prodco Studio Ramsay, along with All3 America. Ramsay also serves as executive producer, as do Greg Lipstone, Layla Smith and Chris Brogden.
