Italian format Undressed heads to Spain and France 

Banijay Group has sold the dating format Undressed (pictured) to broadcasters in Spain and France. Ahead of MIPCOM, the company inked a deal with Spanish free-to-air net Dkiss for a 20 x 30-episode season to be produced by Banijay-owned Magnolia Spain. In France, NRJ12 ordered a six x 45-minute season from Banijay-owned ALP. Both series will debut later this year.

Meanwhile, the original network to air the series, Italy’s NOVE, has greenlit two more seasons from format creator Magnolia Italy that will air next year. The order brings the total number of Italian episodes to 155. The series, which sees couples stripping down and answering prompts from a giant TV screen, was recently renewed in the UK by TLC for a second season. Undressed has also aired on TLC in the Netherlands. ATM Grupa is also producing Polish adaptation for TLC and a 20 x 30-minute Australian version is in production for SBS.

DCD Rights sends Matchlight doc titles across Europe, Australia

London-based distributor DCD Rights has sold several titles by producer Matchlight ahead of MIPCOM. TVN in Poland, Discovery Networks in Denmark, Sveriges Utbildningsradio in Sweden, NRK in Norway and Yes in Israel have picked by the BBC1 doc My Baby Psychosis and Me. FMG has taken the non-theatrical North American rights.

Meanwhile, BBC2′s Ted Hughes: Stronger Than Death has been picked up by NTR in the Netherlands, Sky Television in New Zealand, the Knowledge Network in Canada, YLE in Finland, FMG for North American Non-Theatric, ITI Neovision – Planete+ in Poland and Foxtel in Australia. Foxtel also acquired the BBC2 doc The Making of an Ice Princess.

Sky Television in New Zealand and Foxtel have also secured BBC4 doc Mozart in London, as did TV Ontario in Canada, Viasat World in Nordics, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey, Africa and Israel, and APT in the United States.

TVF International inks inflight deals for Swim, League of Exotique Dancers

London-based unscripted distributor TVF International has sold several titles to in-flight clients ahead of APEX Expo in Singapore. Virgin Atlantic has acquired the BBC ‘Storyville’ doc Swim, as has Cathay Pacific, SAS and Swiss Airlines. Global Eagle Entertainment picked up CBS’s hidden camera format Hidden Heroes, Seven Network’s golf show The Bunker, TVO’s My Millennial Life and CBC’s recent Hot Docs opener League of Exotique Dancers.
