U.S. net TruTV has elevated programming executives Angel Annussek and Lesley Goldman to the newly created roles of senior VP of development and original programming.

Annussek (pictured, left) and Goldman (right) will oversee the continued development, production and delivery of the net’s programming slate, leading the editorial direction and serving as key representatives for TruTV.

Both will continue working out of the firm’s New York offices and reporting to Marissa Ronca, TruTV’s executive VP and head of programming.

Annussek joined TruTV in September 2004 as an executive producer, and was promoted to VP in 2011. In that role, she was tasked with overseeing development and production for her team’s scripted and non-scripted comedy programming, including pilots, series and specials. She developed Adam Ruins Everything, The Carbonaro Effect and the forthcoming Jon Glaser Loves Gear.

Prior to joining TruTV, Annussek served as a freelance producer/director with credits that include Showtime Network special Self Portraits, the feature-length documentary Double Self-Portrait and more than two dozen vérité documentaries.

Goldman joined TruTV in January 2014 as VP of original programming, where she was responsible for the development of new programming, with creative oversight of pilots, series and specials. She is the network executive in charge of development for a number of original series, including Hack My Life, Greatest Ever and You Can Do Better, as well as various projects and pilots in development. She is also leading production on TruTV’s first feature documentary The Problem with Apu from comedian Hari Kondabolu.

Prior to joining TruTV, Goldman spent eight years at MTV as a producer, showrunner and development exec for such projects as Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life, Savage U with Dan Savage and three seasons of the series High School Stories, which she created and exec produced. She has also served as VP of development for Picture This Television.

“Angel and Lesley’s creativity and strong leadership have been invaluable to the evolution of truTV’s programming,” said Ronca in a statement. “Both of them have developed unique original series through their great relationships in the creative community and are truly two of the best executives I’ve ever worked with. I’m confident that in these new roles, they will continue to elevate the brand by producing buzzy comedic projects that can only be found on TruTV.”
