Toronto-based distributor 108 Media has acquired the exclusive worldwide rights to Auroris Media’s Passionate TV.
The 5 x 30 minute docuseries (pictured) tells the inspirational stories of five disruptive individuals who are following their dreams and changing the world.
Featured in the series are Scott Harrison, CEO of Charity Water, which provides clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations; New York Times best-selling author Adam Braun, who is co-founder and CEO of MissionU and Pencils of Promise, which helps people gain access to education; Nancy Lublin, CEO of Crisis Text Line, the world’s first 24/7 text message-based support service; Shane Hurlbut, founder of HurlbutVisuals, which aims to mentor the next generation of filmmakers; and Shiza Shahid, co-founder of the Malala Fund, which works to secure girls’ right to quality education.
The series will sit under the 108 Media’s newly launched ’108 Believe’ banner – a distribution arm set to deliver stories that uplift and inspire. It will be represented by Jordan Nutson, 108 Media’s head of international sales.
“This series is a project of passion for us as much as it is the subject matter,” said Auroris Media’s Maria Peekin a statement. “It is a great opportunity to be working with the incredible team at 108 Media to bring Passionate TV to audiences worldwide.”
