Melbourne-headquartered Broken Arrow Media has inked a deal with Discovery International to push auto-culture format Garage Dreams into new territories.

A copro between Broken Arrow and Journey Media, each episode of the 13-episode docuseries features character-driven stories of individuals building dream cars and motorcycles in their own custom shops.

Season one of Garage Dreams features gearheads from across Melbourne, Australia; Auckland, New Zealand; and LA. Earlier this year, the series premiered on South African television channel Ignition.

Pre-production has already begun on a sophomore season.

“The development of the second series of Garage Dreams is proof of the global appetite for premium auto-based content and continues our successful trajectory in producing high-end auto and motorsports content,” said Brett Hughes, founder of Broken Arrow Media, in a statement.

“We want to cast a broader net for the follow up series and hope to shoot in new locations such as Cape Town, South Africa; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Shanghai, China; and London, UK,” added Brett Hardy, founder of Journey Media. “Using a personal story angle to explore motor culture gives Garage Dreams a point of difference. You really get to see what makes these people tick.”
