RTL Group-owned German channel Vox has commissioned docuformat The Story of My Life from Netherlands-based Talpa Media.

The talk show-makeover hybrid series is slated to feature celebrity couples as they embark on a time travel journey into the future. Professional make-up artists will age each couple 25 and 50 years to determine what they think and how they will react to seeing their loved one age.

The Story of My Life originally premiered on Dutch broadcaster RTL4 last month, which was commissioned for a full season order later this year.

Vox will broadcast the makeover series in 2017, with multiple celebrities currently in talks to appear on the show.

The Story of My Life is a show that fits perfectly with Vox because it combines two things: it’s authentic and emotional,” said Kai Sturm, editor-in-chief and head of entertainment at Vox, in a statement.
