Brooklyn-based producer Part2 Pictures has hired National Geographic exec Kristin Wendell and Rock Shrimp’s Rebecca Bregman.

In the newly created position, Wendell (pictured, left) will head up the company’s development slate and ventures as senior director of development. Formerly director of development for Nat Geo, she has worked on series such as Original Sin: Sex and The Boonies. She has also worked in development and casting on unscripted programming for Animal Planet, A&E, ABC, TruTV and Discovery Channel.

Meanwhile, Bregman (right) joins Part2 from celebrity chef Bobby Flay’s Rock Shrimp where she oversaw production on series such as Beat Bobby Flay, Kelsey’s Essentials and Brunch @ Bobby’s. She has also worked at Lion TV and produced for Food Network, Oxygen, VH1 and Discovery Channel, among others.

Lastly, the company has also promoted Amy Bucher from from VP of programming and content to senior VP, programming and content.

She has overseen several projects over the past eight years, including Our America with Lisa Ling for OWN and This is Life with Lisa Ling for CNN.

Led by David Shadrack Smith, the company’s credits include Showtime’s Dark Net, the OWN event series Belief, Investigation Discovery’s Scene of the Crime and the feature doc An Honest Liar.
