Global content creator, producer and distributor Endemol Shine Group is slated to integrate its Endemol France and Shine France businesses under one banner.

Nicolas Coppermann (pictured), president of Endemol France, will lead the newly amalgamated Endemol Shine France.

Shine France president Thierry Lachkar, meanwhile, has decided to depart the company after a seven-year period following Endemol Shine France’s launch in early 2017.

“I have been in talks with the company about the future of Shine France for some time now and after exploring many different options, I have decided to step down as president of Shine France from early 2017,” said Lachkar in a statement.

“I am so proud of what we have accomplished altogether with 50 different programs in all genres both in scripted and non-scripted, across all channels, platforms and networks – making Shine France one of the biggest and well-respected production companies,” he continued. “I wish Sophie Turner Laing, along with her team, the absolute best for the next chapter in the history of Endemol Shine in France.”

The integration of the two businesses is subject to the prior consultation of the works council of Endemol France and the prior approval by the relevant merger control authorities.

Once approved, work will begin to link the Endemol and Shine teams in France under the Endemol Shine France banner with the goal of being completed by early next year.

“Moving forward, we believe that combining the considerable strengths of the Shine and Endemol teams in France under Nicolas will create a local powerhouse that is best positioned to deliver channel-defining content to our customers and leverage future opportunities in the fast changing marketplace,” said Endemol Shine Group CEO Sophie Turner LaingĀ in a statement.
