Australian sales house Flame Distribution has appointed Lou Occhicone as VP of content sales for North America as part of a restructuring and expansion process.

Occhicone most recently served as a factual television consultant for Toronto’s Buck Productions where he negotiated a copro deal with Reelz to produce four 10-part series for the U.S. cable network.

Prior to this, Occhicone served as chief operating officer at CMJ Distribution, the sales arm of indie CMJ Productions, where he was responsible for creating factual production partnerships with international television networks.

As part of Flame’s expansion efforts, Phil Barnsdall-Thompson, VP of acquisitions for UK and Europe, will now also service North America.

A television production and distribution house, Flame Media works with producers and buyers across the globe to develop, finance and co-produce high-quality fact ent and documentary content. The company currently services 100 content producers globally, representing more than 3,000 hours of their content.
