Canadian multinational media distribution firm Entertainment One has teamed with singer-songwriter Dave Matthews on a musically tinged social impact travelogue series.

The as-yet titled hour-long series, which will be produced by eOne in partnership with Stolen Sky Productions and LBI Entertainment, will shadow the two-time Grammy Award-winning musician (pictured) to some of the most controversial corners of the globe. Embattled by cultural divide and misconception, these communities find artistic expression through music, from the illegal underground music scene of Tehran, Iran to Dakar, Senegal’s flourishing hip-hop scene.

EOne’s John Morayniss, Tara Long and Mark Herwick are exec producing the series, alongside LBI’s Phillip Watson and Sam Warren, and Stolen Sky’s Johnathan Dorfman and Dave Matthews.

L.A.-based prodco Stolen Sky was founded by Matthews and Johnathan Dorfman to develop and produce engaging and character-driven film and television. LBI, meanwhile, manages Matthews for film and television projects.
