London-based distributor TCB Media Rights has acquired the international distribution rights for Icon Films’ hour-long documentary exploring restless legs syndrome.

Restless Legs: Can’t Stop Twitching (pictured) chronicles individuals living with the little-known medical condition, a tingling of the legs which can lead to severe sleep deprivation and suicidal thoughts.

Icon’s Stephen McQuillan serves as executive producer on the film, which was originally commissioned for Channel 5 in the UK.

The Bristol-based indie most recently secured an international distribution rights deal for its forthcoming 6 x 60-minute natural history docuseries Savage Kingdom to Sky Vision. Savage Kingdom premieres in the U.S. on Nat Geo Wild on Nov. 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

“TCB Media Rights’ enthusiasm for the subject matter and the sales potential of Restless Legs: Can’t Stop Twitching was obvious from the beginning,” said Lucy Middelboe, commercial director of Icon Films, in a statement. “We’re sure they are the right partner to sell this fascinating documentary internationally.”
