In this week’s round-up, new non-fiction series are slated to debut across FYI, Oxygen Media and Nickelodeon.

NBCUniversal-owned net Oxygen Media is attempting to repair tattered friendships in the Sibley Scoles-hosted The Battle of the Ex-Besties.

The Fly On The Wall Entertainment-made competition series will feature 14 former best friends as they confront past differences in a variety of challenges for the chance to win a US$100,000 grand prize. Losing teams will have the opportunity to play for $50,000 or leave the competition for good. Two contestant losses will eliminate teams for good. The series premieres Dec. 6 at 11 p.m. ET/PT.

Elsewhere, Viacom-owned youth broadcaster Nickelodeon will unveil its juvenile Lip Sync Battle spin-off special on Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Presented by Modern Family actor Sarah Hyland, Lip Sync Battle Shorties will see everyday children taking a turn at lip-syncing along to their favorite songs. Each “Shorty” is involved in every aspect of their performance, from song selection to choreography and staging. In addition, the hour-long stunt will feature four talented kid performers – otherwise known as the Lip Sync Battle Shorties Dance Crew – and a supporting cast featuring a young DJ, M.C. and backstage correspondent. The one-off is produced by Casey Patterson Entertainment and Matador Content.

Finally, A+E Networks-owned cable net FYI is readying a new dating format from Married at First Sight creators Kinetic Content.

Hosted by relationship and communication expert Rachel DeAlto, Kiss Bang Love (10 x 60 minutes; pictured) will feature singles choosing 10 potential mates based on a blindfolded kiss. After choosing the five best kisses, they meet again for a second kiss without blindfolds. Contestants will then select two partners to spend two nights with at a luxury hotel before choosing to whisk one away on a romantic holiday. The series bows Jan. 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FYI.
