Keo Films’ Exodus: Our Journey to Europe and BBC Studios’ Springwatch are among this year’s non-fiction winners at the Royal Television Society’s Craft & Design Awards.

The awards, presented by the British forum for television and related media, consists of more than 30 categories and recognize a variety of skills and processes involved in program production.

Produced by Keo Films for BBC2, Exodus: Our Journey to Europe (pictured) received the award for director and editing awards for documentary/factual & non-drama productions. The film documents the harrowing journey of Syrians as they attempt to cross over from Turkey to Greece and ultimately appeal for asylum.

Meanwhile, the BBC Natural History Unit’s Springwatch took home the Design & Craft Innovation award – one of three awards handed out at the discretion of the jury chairs. The annual series charts the fortunes of British wildlife during the changing of the seasons in the UK.

The winners of the RTS Craft & Design Awards were announced at a ceremony, hosted by British-Danish actor and comedian Sandi Toksvig, on Nov. 28 at the London Hilton, Park Lane.
