A documentary about Prince is due for release next year.

Swiss distributor Ascot Elite Entertainment Group confirmed a report in Screen Daily that it has picked up Prince: R U Listening? from Los Angeles-based sales agent 13 Films.

The company is planning a roll-out in German-speaking Europe in the second quarter of 2017. Details of a U.S. release have not been announced.

Directed and produced by Michael Kirk (Find Your Groove), the doc will recount the late music icon’s early rise to stardom through interviews with bandmates, friends and family, including his first guitar player, Dez Dickerson, and his friend and original bassist, Andre Cymone.

Famous faces set to appear include Bono, Mick Jagger, Billy Idol, Lenny Kravitz and Sheila E.

The Purple Rain musician was found dead in his Minneapolis-area estate on April 21. Authorities later confirmed the cause of death was an accidental Fentanyl overdose.
