The sixth episode of the Unscripted and Unprepared podcast, produced by Objective Media Group America EVP Jimmy Fox in partnership with realscreen, is now available via iTunes and Stitcher.

The episode features Fox in conversation with Heather Olander (pictured), senior VP of alternative programming for USA Network and Syfy. Olander shares stories from her first job with an ad agency to working in television, including MTV, and spotting reality hits such as Chrisley Knows Best for USA.

Fox also responds to a listener’s tweet addressing diversity within the unscripted business. Realscreen will also be addressing the topic at the upcoming Realscreen Summit in Washington, D.C. (Jan. 23-26), with network and production teams weighing in on break-out series featuring diverse casts and stories, including how these shows made it to air, and the steps taken to ensure that the program’s represent their communities, while also connecting with wider audiences.

Unscripted and Unprepared began in late June, and has thus far featured interviews with Showtime’s Vinnie Malhotra, Spike’s Sharon Levy, MGM Television’s Barry Poznick, ITV Entertainment’s David Eilenberg, and Thinkfactory Media’s Leslie Greif. Future editions will feature interviews with more top network and production execs, including Propagate Content’s Ben Silverman and Discovery Communications’ Jane Latman.

Fox currently executive produces United Shades of America (CNN) and Make Me a Millionaire Inventor (CNBC), as well as Hard Evidence: OJ is Innocent (ID), Hollywood Darlings (Pop) and scripted drama The Arrangement (E!).
