French producer-distributor ZED has hired Charlotte Tachet and Lucy Le Gruiec to its international distribution team as sales executives.

Tachet (pictured, above) oversaw development and international documentary sales at Roche Productions, before going on to create and run the documentary distribution department at AB International Distribution for three years.

Building on her five years’ experience in international sales, she will represent ZED in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Benelux, Switzerland and French-speaking Canada.

Le Gruiec, meanwhile, was an international sales executive at 100% Distribution for more than four years. She brings more than six years’ experience in the TV sector and joins ZED’s international distribution team to sell catalog titles in Latin America, the U.S., English-speaking Canada, the UK, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Spain and Portugal.

The hires underline a strategy for continued development in the international documentary market, according to ZED president Manuel Catteau in a statement. Going into 2017, the company is looking to increase the number of ambitious projects it produces with partners such as National Geographic and science-based SVOD CuriosityStream.
