Anvil 1893 Entertainment, the L.A.-based production company founded by Eric Schotz in August, will see its first television project go to air this month.

History will air the two-hour special, Transition of Power: The Presidency, on Jan. 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. In advance of U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20, the special details the country’s centuries-long tradition of the peaceful transition of power. The project looks at both the current political situation, and transitions past, including the contested George W. Bush/Al Gore political battle in 2000, Richard Nixon’s interference with the Vietnam War peace process, and the sudden death of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1945.

Schotz and Ruth Rivin serve as executive producers for Anvil 1893 and Kristen Burns is executive producer for History.
