Objective Media Group America exec and Emmy-nominated producer Jimmy Fox has launched Main Event Media, a new prodco set to work across the scripted and unscripted genres.

The Los Angeles-based shingle will sit under the All3Media America umbrella as part of the All3Media-owned Objective Media Group.

“It seemed my first choice for the company name, 22nd Century Fox, came with a slew of legal ramifications. So, Main Event Media it is,” said Fox, president of Main Event Media, in a statement. “Our goal moving forward is the same as it has always been: to take our work extremely seriously… ourselves, not so much.”

Fox has previously spent the last three years working as an executive VP out of Objective’s Los Angeles offices. There, he has overseen all aspects of development for Objective’s rapidly expanding U.S. arm. In addition to adapting the formats created by Objective Productions in the UK, he has been responsible for creating and developing original series across both scripted and unscripted for the U.S. market.

His credits include the Emmy-nominated CNN series United Shades of America, CNBC’s Make Me a Millionaire Inventor, Investigation Discovery’s Is O.J. Innocent: The Missing Evidence, and scripted drama The Arrangement for E!.

Additionally, Fox will continue to produce a raft of series under the Main Event banner, including Spike’s true-crime series It Was Him: The Many Murders of Ed Edwards, as well as the previously announced drama Hollywood Darlings for POP.

Layla Smith, CEO of Objective Media Group, and Greg Lipstone, CEO of All3Media America, will work alongside Fox across Main Event Media’s slate in the U.S. and UK markets.

Prior to Objective, Fox served as head of creative development for Electus where he was tasked with managing the company’s scripted and unscripted portfolio, including Fashion Star and Food Fighters, both for NBC; VH1′s Mob Wives; and TBS’s competition series King of the Nerds.

Main Event Media joins All3Media as the conglomerate’s 21st production studio, joining the likes of Neal Street Productions, Studio Ramsay and Studio Lambert Associates.

“Bringing Jimmy in three years ago to launch Objective’s U.S. division has proven to be an extraordinary success,” added Lipstone. “He is more than ready to launch his own company and we are thrilled he will remain part of the All3Media family for years to come.”
