Ruth Diskin has exited her post as founder and MD of Israeli boutique distributor Ruth Films, with Hadar Porubanova set to replace her, effective immediately.

Diskin (pictured) departs the company she founded in 2001 to take on the role of director of projects and culture at Jerusalem Foundation, an independent community foundation dedicated to preserving an open, equitable and modern society in Jerusalem.

In her new role, Porubanova will be tasked with expanding the global reach of the worldwide sales agency while also overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company.

Prior to joining Ruth Films, she founded and ran the International Francophone Film Festival in Bratislava, Slovakia; served as the audiovisual attaché to the French Embassy in Slovakia and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and as an international relations manager at the Sam Spiegel Film & Television School in Jerusalem.

Founded in 2001, Ruth Films specializes in the distribution of films with distinctive content that address human rights, Jewish content and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Additionally, the company facilitates the promotion, marketing, distribution and exhibition of indie films.
