The hunt for the best British tattoo artist is the focus of a new competition series, Tattoo Artist of the Year, to air on UK digital network, E4.

A off from the popular E4 series Tattoo FixersTattoo Artist of the Year follows E4′s Feb. 2016 commissions Holiday Tattoo Fixers and Body Fixers.

Britain’s best all-round professional tattoo artist will need to be proficient in a number of special challenges, including different styles of tattooing, such as Japanese, traditional, realism, surrealism or watercolor. Each week an artist is voted off by judges Jay Hutton of Tattoo Fixers (pictured, right) and newcomer Rose Hardy (left).

This 6 x 60 series is produced by Studio Lambert, with Tim Harcourt, Matt J. Smith and Suzanne McGairl as executive producers, and Aaron Morgan as series producer.

“The appreciation of tattoo artistry shows no sign of abating,” said Harcourt in a statement. “E4′s Tattoo Artist of the Year will showcase our nation’s talent for tattooing, their brilliance, originality and creativity. This series is a great platform for our best up and coming artists to show their passion for ink.”

No air date has been announced.
