Premium entertainment network Epix has tapped former BBC Worldwide America exec Sandy Ashendorf as executive VP of content distribution.
Based in New York, Ashendorf (pictured) will oversee the network’s distribution partnerships across all platforms. She reports directly into Epix president and CEO Mark Greenberg, who was last year extended for a multi-year contract.
Ashendorf joins the America Divided cabler from BBC Worldwide America, where she served as executive VP of distribution, responsible for managing all domestic affiliate sales and marketing initiatives for the company’s U.S. assets.
Prior to this, she spent more than 17 years at Viacom in a variety of senior leadership capacities, including executive VP of affiliate sales and marketing for MTV Networks.
“As we expand our executive team and build our network operating infrastructure, Sandy will add a valuable new dimension and will be a key resource in expanding and strengthening our partnerships and driving new growth,” said Greenberg in a statement.
