Keshet International and Chilean-based television network Mega have brokered a co-development deal to create a new entertainment series.

The global distribution and production arm of Israel-based Keshet MediaGroup will work with Mega to develop the non-scripted series over the next year for initial broadcast in their own territories. Keshet will retain worldwide distribution rights to the eventual series.

The deal was made by Keshet’s head of Latin America Kelly Wright (pictured).

“Mega is renowned for its innovation in programming and delivering what its viewers want – before they know they want it. So this is a very exciting alliance for us,” Wright said in a statement.

Latin America is a core market for Keshet. The company has secured a number of co-dev deals in the region with broadcasters such as Telefe in Argentina, where the first show will launch in 2017. Most recently, Keshet co-developed and produced an original Spanish-language scripted series with Telemundo.
