Production is underway for Terror in the Woods (working title). Commissioned by Destination America, the UK-based Wild Dreams Films-produced series investigates unexplained “paranomal encounters” out in the wild.

The 8 x 60 series travels from Louisinana to Illinois to Montana, following real-life adventures of people who claim to be spooked by ghosts, monsters and other unexplained occurrences.

The series has also been signed by Distribution360, which will represent the series globally. Discussions are currently underway for pre-sales in several markets, the company states.

Stuart Clarke (Wild Dreams Films) and Cathy Garland (Destination America) serve as executive producers on the series.

This isn’t the first paranormal series from the Discovery-owned network: In December, Destination America commissioned Killing Bigfoot, a six-part docuseries set to air next month,  while in July it ordered Paranormal Lockdown Halloween Specialwhich explored the haunted Black Monk House.
