Sean Lee, former SVP at New York-based Magilla Entertainment, has joined N.Y’s Switchblade as its new partner and EVP.

Lee will be responsible for selling and executing content across all media platforms in the newly created position, and will work with company co-founders Brian Flanagan and brothers Anthony and Michael Amoia.

Out of the gate, Lee is tasked with overseeing pilots for Travel Channel, HGTV and MTV.

Lee had previously worked with Flanagan while at Magilla to develop series such as MoonshinersBeachfront Bargain Hunt and Lakefront Bargain Hunt. Prior to Magilla, he worked with MTV where he focused largely on pro-social programming, like Choose or Lose political coverage and the network’s annual VMA awards.

Flanagan branched out from Magilla in February, 2016 to form Switchblade alongside the Amoias. Since its launch, the trio has signed with Extra Virgin producer Frank to develop and produce unscripted content across all media, and has confirmed two series orders and five pilots, though production details were still under wraps at press time.
