Melissa Brown has joined UK-based Warner Bros subsidiary Wall to Wall as its new executive producer, factual entertainment.

Brown is known in the industry for taking on large, first-time projects and helping build the brands. To begin, she will oversee Channel 4′s Child Genius. Now in its fifth year, the series follows 20 intelligent youth as they compete for the title of smartest kid.

Notable past credit includes The Great British Bake Off, a massive hit (former) BBC hit in the UK. She has also worked on such projects as The Big Allotment Challenge (BBC2), Naked Attraction (Chanel 4) and The Baby Borrowers (BBC Three). Other credits include Big Brother, Fame Academy and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

The addition of Brown comes following Wall to Wall’s recent hiring of C4′s Anna Miralis as head of factual in December (though she joins the company this coming March), and the addition of Lucy Bacon as head of factual development in September.

Wall to Wall titles include the BBC’s Back In Time franchise, Victorian Bakers and Victorian Bakers at Christmas, and the long-running Who Do You Think You Are?; as well as National Geographic’s Drugs/Underworld Inc and ITV’s Long Lost Family and The Voice UK.
