Derek Freda and Guy Slattery have been elevated to co-presidents of the fast-growing television network Viceland, as founding bosses Eddy Moretti and Spike Jonze step down from the shared role and head back to business at parent co Vice Media.

Both Slattery and Freda have been with the lifestyle and entertainment Vice and A+E Networks-backed network since its founding as EVP of production and general manager respectively.

The duo will oversee the day-to-day production and operational oversight of the network.

Prior to joining Viceland, Freda worked as Jonze’s producer on the series Jackass for 15 years, and various feature films that followed, as well as 2013′s Bad Grandpa and recently announced Action Park.

Slattery, meanwhile, joined Viceland from A+E where he served as EVP of marketing. During his time with A+E he was responsible for all marketing, creative and brand strategy for A+E and History, as well as the inception of the lifestyle network FYI.

“Derek brings his years of creative and production experience making content, and Guy brings deep expertise of running the operations of television channel from marketing, to scheduling, to sales and distribution. We’re really lucky to have both of them,” said Jonze and Moretti in a joint statement.

Moretti, who helped to found Viceland in 2016, will resume his role as chief creative officer at Vice. There he will again oversee the creative content across all Vice brands, platforms and media.

Jonze, fellow founding co-president, will see his role with Vice grow as he joins Moretti as co-CCO. Both will oversee the millennial-focused media company’s creative brands, including Viceland.

Viceland launched in the U.S. and Canada in February of last year and has since expanded into the UK, France, Australia and New Zealand. It’s poised to expand into another 50 territories across platforms this year, under Jay Rosenstock who was recently upped to president of Viceland International.

“We did all that…and we’ll do that and more with Guy and Derek at the helm,” said Moretti and Jonze.
