You’ve likely been seeing some new bylines on realscreen stories of late and there’s a good reason for that. We’ve combed the ranks of the journalism market to bring on board Meagan Kashty  and Selina Chignall, whose expertise and care we have no doubt will help us further establish our reputation as the most trusted source of news in the global unscripted and factual entertainment business.

Meagan Kashty (pictured, right) joins realscreen as associate editor. In her new role, she is responsible for the daily newsletter publication, with the broader aim of developing realscreen as the go-to industry resource. She is based in Toronto and reports to Darah Hansen, managing editor of realscreen.

A seasoned editor and writer with a background in trade publishing, Kashty most recently worked as online editor at Toronto-based Canadian Grocer magazine, where she managed the magazine’s website and print features.

Prior to her time at Canadian Grocer, she dabbled in the book publishing industry and was the founding member of an online magazine that profiled emerging and established Toronto artists. Her work has appeared in Quill & Quire and Reader’s Digest

Kashty can be reached for story ideas and comment at mkashty@brunico.com.

Selina Chignall (pictured, left), meanwhile, comes to realscreen as staff writer after a stint as a reporter in the Canadian political trenches where she covered lobbying activity at Hill Times Publishing. She also spent a year covering the Hill as a journalist with iPolitics. She can be contacted at schignall@brunico.com.

We’re also pleased to announce that long-time realscreen staff writer Daniele Alcinii has also been upped to senior writer at realscreen. He can be reached a dalcinii@brunico.com.
