Tel Aviv-based sales firm Gil Formats has bolstered its international distribution team with the appointment of former Shine Group executive Paula Warwick.

Reporting to company CEO Assaf Gil, Warwick will act as a consultant to spearhead its sales, distribution and international production business. In addition, she will serve as interim head of distribution while Adva Avichzer fulfils her maternity leave.

Warwick has previously served as head of international productions at Shine Group, where, over a five-year period, she was responsible for the company’s non-scripted international formats, including The Island, The Biggest Loser, One Born Every Minute and MasterChef.

Prior to this, she held the title of commissioning editor for entertainment at ITV and international format consultant at Granada (now ITV Studios).

Established in 2015, Gil Formats has secured multiple format deals globally including Pregnant and Platonic, Life on Duty and Capturing the Moment. The firm’s development division, Gil Productions, produces such international formats as Dancing With the Stars, MasterChef and One Born Every Minute, among others.
