ABC News and People are joining forces for a limited primetime series.

People Icons is an hour-long weekly program inspired by People magazine covers that have made a lasting impact on American culture.

Hosted by Good Morning America co-anchor Lara Spencer, each week will tackle a different theme, such as celebrity love stories, and heroes and survivors. An episode titled “Gone Too Soon” will reflect on the life and legacy of some the stars and icons who died young, while another will also recount People magazine’s iconic “Sexiest Man Alive” covers.

People‘s editor-in-chief, Jess Cagle, along with other People editors, will share their expertise on the topics.

People Icons premieres on March 7 on the ABC Television Network. The series is produced by ABC’s Lincoln Square Productions. Marc Victor is the executive producer for Lincoln Square, while Jess Cagle and JJ Miller are executive producers for People.
