Scripps Networks Interactive-owned channel DIY Network is preparing to measure twice and cut once with coastal renovation series Big Beach Builds.

Produced by Leopard USA, part of the Argonon Group, the series chronicles the exploits of contractor and fifth-generation builder Marnie Oursler as she renovates homes in the coastal communities near Bethany Beach, Delaware.

The half-hour series follows Oursler as she builds on her family’s legacy to transform beachside properties into charming and airy dream homes capable of withstanding high tides and hurricanes.

Exec producers on the series include Leopard USA’s Simon McKeown, Ashley Singer and Mike Stafford.

Big Beach Builds premieres with back-to-back episodes on March 20 at 9 p.m. ET/PT across DIY.

“There’s nothing like living at the beach. But all that sun, sand and salt air can really take a toll on a home — that’s where I come in,” said Oursler in a statement. “I grew up learning from the best. The houses built by my dad, his father and his father are still standing. Those places were built to last and now I’m continuing the tradition.”
