UK sales house Passion Distribution has promoted Nick Tanner to head of sales.

The former senior sales manager will replace Elin Thomas, who is leaving Passion for a new position yet to be announced.

Tanner is charged with driving and executing the sales strategy across the Passion Distribution portfolio and developing the company’s digital strategy. He will continue to maintain key accounts across pan-regional networks and in Australia and New Zealand.

His recent successes include the expansion of the Make You Laugh Out Loud franchise in key Asia-Pacific territories and a collaboration with Group M Entertainment to bring the Robot Wars format to Asia.

Tanner originally joined Passion as part of the merger with Mentorn International in 2012.

Thomas joined Passion Distribution in 2014 as global head of sales and was quickly promoted to director of global sales the following year. She oversaw the growth of Passion’s sales and format division, increasing format expertise among the team.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with Elin,” said Emmanuelle Namiech, CEO of Passion Distribution in a statement. “She has made a tremendous contribution to Passion Distribution for which I would like to thank her.  I have no doubt she will do well in her next role and wish her great success.”

As part of the team restructure, Passion Distribution is also looking to strengthen its existing sales team by hiring an experienced digital sales manager.
