Fareed Zakaria, host of CNN flagship public affairs program Fareed Zakaria GPS, is searching for the relationship between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in a new hour-long documentary for CNN.

The Most Powerful Man in the World will follow Zakaria (pictured) as he looks to uncover the many questions surrounding the Russian president’s alleged hacking into the U.S. election, while also exploring the global implications behind Putin and Trump’s relationship, should it deteriorate.

Featured in the film are experienced Russia watchers and diplomacy experts who offer insights into Putin’s persona and how Russia’s internal politics continue to shape Putin’s hostile postures against his enemies, including at least two successive U.S. presidents, and four former American Secretaries of State.

The film will include elements from Zakaria’s past interview with Putin to tell the story, alongside interviews with former U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates; former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger; journalist and author Masha Gessen; The New Yorker editor David Remnick; and The Atlantic & Foreign Policy columnist Julia Ioffe.

Liza McGuirk serves as executive producer.

The Most Powerful Man in the World premieres March 13 at 9 p.m. ET/PT across CNN in the U.S. and CNN International. The film will also livestream via CNNgo.
