Brighton based indie prodco Back2back Productions series Scrap Kings has been picked up a group of European channels.

The (8×60) program will follow the work of demolition, salvage and waste management experts as they blast, crush and smash their way through a variety of aging structures, from tower blocks to Victorian mansions. Each inch of material is removed and sold.

The series will launch on the free-to-air network Quest and on Viasat World channel Viasat Explore across Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS, Turkey, Africa, Israel and is being distributed internationally by Flame Distribution.

Back2back’s David Notman-Watt will executive produce the series which will air in late 2017.

“The back2back team have met demolition companies throughout the country over the past few months and cast an extraordinary array of individuals and companies who work in arguably one of the most satisfying jobs on the planet. Pressing the plunger on a monumental explosion in order to bring down a building has got to be up there on everyone’s bucket list, and we are delighted that Quest and Viasat have come on board for what will be an eye popping and ear bursting series,” said Notman-Watt, in a statement.
