Independent production and distribution company All3Media is backing filmmakers David Nath and Peter Beard’s new documentary and drama production company, Story Films.

Story Films was founded by the award-winning directors Nath (pictured, left) and Beard (pictured, right) in 2016. The duo will develop programs that blur lines between factual and drama for UK and global audiences, with All3Media International being the distribution partner for the prodco.

“To work with Dave and Pete as they build Story Films is incredibly exciting. They are program makers with an amazing record of producing popular and critically acclaimed shows. We are all really looking forward to working with them as they develop new ideas — be they documentaries or dramas,” said Jane Turton, All3Media CEO, in a statement.

The pair first worked together on Channel 4′s mental health series Bedlam. They are currently in production with a new C4 drama “infused with a documentary sensibility” and also a blue-chip factual series for the same broadcaster, said All3Media, in a statement. Nath and Beard are also in development with U.S. networks on a number of projects.

Story Films plan to work closely with Layla Smith at Objective Media Group — part of All3Media — as they develop their business.
