UK-based indie Back2Back is moving forward with a series that follows police units wearing body-worn cameras.

The new 6 x 60-minute series, Body Cam Cops, will capture hazardous footage taken directly from officers in the line of fire.

Intercut with bodycam footage will be interviews with the officers who filmed the incidents, the perpetrators, and the victims of the crimes.

The series will launch on Discovery’s Quest in the UK, DMAX in Germany, Discovery Channel across CEEMEA and LatAm, including U.S. Hispanic, and is being distributed internationally by Drive, who also secured Discovery’s investment in the project.

The Back2Back team have secured extraordinary access to police units around the world who are opening their archive of footage for the very first time allowing us in to witness first hand some of the most astonishing police encounters ever caught on film — up close and personal,” said David Notman-Watt, Back2Back MD and executive producer of the series. “We are delighted that Quest, DMAX and other Discovery regions have come on board for what will be an eye popping and shocking series.”

The series, which goes into production this month, will air in late 2018.
