Indie distributor and copro Raydar Media has brought in a new executive consultant to help bolster the company’s factual acquisitions and co-productions for Raydar’s library content into Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pac respectively.

Based in Australia, Lara von Ahlefeldt, alongside her independent company Sauce Group, will work with the existing UK-based Raydar Media team of Alison Rayson, Chris Rayson and Pindy O’Brien.

Most recently, von Ahlefeldt headed SBS TV’s distribution arm in Australia. She has an in-depth knowledge of factual and format sales and co-production as well as acquisition and financing, gained through her role as co-founder of UK independent 3DD Entertainment.

The appointment brings a raft of SBS food titles into the Raydar portfolio, including content from producers’ Red Creative Media and The Precinct for the catalogue of Luke Nguyen and Peter Kuruvita (pictured) series’, respectively for relaunch at MIP TV.

Alongside these they will launch new travel, food and arts series’ such as A Taste of Travel and Colour Theory forming part of the new Raydar slate.
