A+E Networks Italy has partnered with digital satellite television platform Sky Italia to roll out fledgling fact-ent channel, Blaze.

The Italian channel, which launched today (March 22), will broadcast fact-ent content from the A+E Networks portfolio, ranging from reality programming to docuseries, and will target an upscale, primarily male viewer with content in high definition.

Titles slated to air across the pay-TV network include Ax Men, Storage Wars, Alaska Off-Road Warriors, Nightwatch, The Wahlburgers, Flipping Vegas, Power & Ice, Mountain Men, Leepu & Pitbull, Barter KingsDown East Dickering, Fit to Fat to Fit and Alone.

The new channel, which first launched in the UK last September, strengthens A+E’s reach within the territory and joins sister networks History and Crime+Investigation on Sky.

“By offering uniquely innovative, original, and quality content, Blaze will be the place for those viewers looking for remarkable, extraordinary characters and stories,” said Dean Possenniskie, GM for EMEA at A+E Networks, in a statement.

“The launch of Blaze enriches and implements A+E Networks Italy offer on Sky Italia,” added Sherin Salvetti, GM of A+E Networks Italy. “In a few years our company has become a strong player in the Italian TV market, working closely with Sky Italia, taking advantage from the great A+E Networks content portfolio and developing local compelling stories for the Italian audience.”
