Manchester-based international media consultancy K7 Media is opening a new office in Amsterdam due to recent business growth and the UK’s decision to leave the European Union.

“Prompted by growth in the business and the uncertain economic climate, it is logical for K7 Media to create a presence on the continent,” said managing director Keri Lewis Brown, in a statement.

K7 Media recently appointment TV industry vet Gary Carter (pictured) as a non-executive board member. Based out of the Dutch capital, Carter will develop a new service offering strategic advice to senior management.

On the opening of the new Netherlands office, Carter said in a statement, “The Netherlands has a long tradition of media content innovation, and as a hub for flows of trade and services within Europe. The city of Amsterdam has worked tirelessly over the last decade to attract creative and entrepreneurial enterprises. “
