London-based production company Raw TV has appointed Oliver Calleja to the newly created role of head of U.S. development.

It’s part of Raw’s efforts to up its development team and expand the company’s U.S. non-scripted slates, a spokesperson for the company said in a statement.

Calleja will report to EVP of U.S. television Adam Hawkins and work alongside development executive Felicity Morris.

Calleja recently worked at Banijay-owned indie prodco RDF Television as head of international development where he developed Mine Hunters for National Geographic and Undercover Angel for Nat Geo People. Previously Calleja worked as a producer at Zig Zag and Firecracker where he cast and produced on the first season of My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding.

The Gold Rush producer’s recent titles include Homestead Rescue and Taking Fire for Discovery, No Man Left Behind (Nat Geo) and Race For The White House(CNN).

The prodco recently secured a documentary commission for David Koresh and the Siege of Waco (w/t) as part of A&E Network’s returning ‘Biography’ franchise.
