Los Angeles-based Thinkfactory Media continues to expand with the promotion of three current executives.

The prodco has promoted Mayen Ma (pictured) to VP of current, unscripted. In her new role, Ma will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s slate of current unscripted series. She will also supervise and manage all of Thinkfactory Media’s showrunners.

In addition, the company also announced the promotions of Ashley Kolpack to senior director of unscripted development and Justin Nichols to senior casting producer of unscripted projects.

“Mayen, Ashley and Justin have been an important part of the growth and success of the unscripted team here at Thinkfactory,” said Adam Reed, president of Thinkfactory Media, in a statement. “Without them on the team, we would not have the wildly successful TV hits we have today.”

Since joining Thinkfactory Media nine years ago, Ma has helped produce hits including the unscripted series Mama June: From Not to Hot. She also had a hand in producing WEtv’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, which has resulted in various spinoff series such as Marriage Boot Camp: Family Edition.

Additional Thinkfactory Media credits include: Million Dollar Matchmaker (WEtv) and The Donner Party (The Weather Channel), 4th and Loud (AMC), Gene Simmons Family Jewels (A&E), and many others.

Ma began her career in satellite news working for clients including MSNBC, CNBC, Al Jazeera, ESPN and PBS. Following her stint in news, she joined the development team at Fuse TV where she helped to create shows such as The Whitest Kids You KnowPants Off/Dance Off, and Rad Girls.

Kolpack joined Thinkfactory Media in 2015 as a manager of unscripted development. She has had a hand in numerous development deals with networks including WEtv, History, MTV, Food, A&E, Oxygen, TLC, Lifetime, and VH1. Before joining Thinkfactory Media, she was at Core Media Group where she worked onPreach (Lifetime), Euros of Hollywood (Bravo) and Sing It On (Pop).

Starting his career at Studio Lambert, Nichols had the opportunity to work on CBS’s Undercover Boss. He then spent two years at TMZ before joining the Thinkfactory Media team. Since then, he has been responsible for casting a variety of development projects and shows for the company’s many unscripted series.
