Armoza strikes deal for The Final Four

Armoza Formats has closed its first deal for their new prime time show The Final Four in France.

The agreement has been made with celebrity TV personality and producer Arthur Essebag’s AWPG Group-owned prodco Satisfaction – The Television Agency.

Launched for MIPTV, the format marks Armoza’s first in-house developed signing competition.

In The Final Four (13×90-120′), for the first time on TV, the four finalists are announced in the season premier.Selected by a trio of top music judges, only the best will make the final four and live like VIPs from the start. But in every episode, talented hopefuls will try to steal a seat from one of the final four. Anyone can become a contestant at any time via submissions on the dedicated app, but only the best will be able to challenge the four finalists.

Zoomin Studios brings All For Adrenaline” to MTG

Zoomin Studios, the format creation division of Zoomin.TV, has signed a deal with MTG which will see its new series All For Adrenaline launch on the Group’s Scandinavian, Baltics and Bulgaria networks.

All For Adrenaline (10×60′) follows daredevil free-climber and YouTube celebrity James Kingston as he trades tricks with other adrenaline addicts around the world, testing his own prowess against theirs while performing nail-biting stunts such as running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain and descending into an active volcano on a South Pacific island.

“Zoomin has a great approach to talent and adapting content for different platforms. All For Adrenaline is a great example of an online success with potential for the TV screen. We look forward to the show getting commissioned and are excited about seeing the final product,” said Jakob Mejlhede, EVP MTG programming & content development, in a release.

Insight TV signs distribution deal with M7 Group

Factual entertainment channel Insight TV has signed a distribution contract at MIPTV 2017 with M7 Group, a Pan-European satellite Pay TV operator.

The contract will see Insight TV supply both its successful 4K UHD and HD channel to M7 Group’s satellite TV platforms including: CanalDigitaal (The Netherlands), TV VLAANDEREN and TeleSAT  (Belgium), Skylink  (Czech Republic and Slovakia) and HD Austria/Austriasat (Austria.

“With the growing sales of 4K UHD screens in Europe, the appetite for high quality 4K UHD content is increasing as well. We are therefore very happy with our agreement with Insight TV, enabling us to enrich our content offer for our satellite TV viewers in the Benelux, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria with a great variety of top-of-the range 4K UHD and HD programmes,”  said Bill Wijdeveld, VP, business development at M7 Group SA, in a statement.

Dogwoof goes global

UK documentary sales specialists Dogwoof have announced a host of global sales.

The Family, Rosie Jones’s stunning story of Australia’s most notorious cult – sold to NRK (Norway), DR (Denmark), Channel 8 (Israel), Medialaan (Belgium), Movistar+ (Spain), while Liberation Day, which documents the saga of cult rock band Laibach,went to BBC (UK), NRK (Norway), and Channel 8 (Israel); all rights for Wanted (Italy) and Demiurg (Former Yugoslavia).

Maurizio Cattelan: Be Right Back, about the infamous art provocateur, sold to VPRO (The Netherlands), SVT (Sweden), Channel 8 (Israel), Movistar+ (Spain); and all rights to Feltrinelli/ Nexo (Italy).

The Confession continued a strong series of sales to Al Jazeera, Globosat (Brazil) and DR (Denmark) and The WHY Foundation while Forever Pure sold to VRT (Belgium) and BBC Persia (MENA).

The Fall was picked up by DBS (Israel), VRT (Belgium), and DR (Denmark) and Driessold to Channel 8 (Israel), and Movistar + (Spain). Dries will be released theatrically by Prokino (Germany), Dalton (Belgium), New Select (Japan), Edko (Hong Kong), Non Stop (Scandinavia, Baltics).

Chasing Asylum, an investigation into the brutal treatment of refugees in Australian off-shore detention camps, continued to sell around the world to Al Jazeera and TV3 (Spain).

Endemol Shine Group’s “Ambulance” heads to Israel

Global content creator, producer and distributor Endemol Shine Group’s factual hit Ambulance has been commissioned in Israel.

Endemol Shine Israel has closed a deal with Reshet to produce eight episodes of the series which will be filmed across Israel and will give an extraordinary insight into front line emergency medical teams.

This deal follows the recent news that Endemol Shine North America has been ordered by CBS to produce a series in the U.S., whilst format creators Dragonfly, part of Endemol Shine UK will produce an eight episode second run for BBC One.
