Discovery Channel has greenlit the new series Escobar’s Millions, which goes in search of the alleged hidden fortune of Pablo Escobar, the infamous Colombian drug lord.

From cocaine dealer to running the Medellin Cartel – a multi-billion-dollar powerhouse in the narcotic market – Escobar notoriously spent much of his money on luxury goods and properties around the world.  According to urban legend, many believe much of that money is still yet to be found and is buried across Colombia and Central America.

Former CIA case officers Doug and Ben are determined to solve this mystery with access granted by the Colombian government.

Slated to air in late 2017, Blackfin and Network Entertainment produced Escobar’s Millions (w/t) with Derik Murray and Geno McDermott as executive producers. For Discovery Channel, Matthew Vafiadis is executive producer and associate producer, Lindsay Malinchak. Discovery also worked with local Colombian production Team Dynamo.
