Veteran TV executive Tim Bock has been tapped by IM Global Television to oversee the studio’s unscripted and alternative production department.

Bock, who previously served for seven years as VP of production for ABC’s alternative series and specials department, comes on board the division just one month after IM Global hired Jennifer ColbertTim Rosenman and Casey Kelly in a bid to strengthen its focus on developing formats and programs with global appeal.

Bock’s professional experience has seen him involved in production in nearly every broadcast genre from concerts, documentaries, reality shows, game shows, talk shows, and variety shows such as ABC’s The Mole, Duel, Wanna Bet…?, Welcome to the Neighborhood, NBC’s Treasure Hunters, HBO’s Britney Spears Live From the MGM, and CBS’ Streisand In Concert.

In August, he was hired by Dick Clark Productions as SVP of production where he was responsible for the company’s roster of shows, including American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, as well as a variety of other projects.

In his new job as SVP of unscripted and alternative, Bock reports directly to IM Global president Phil Gurin.

“Tim is a widely respected and supremely experienced leader and executive.  We are lucky to have him with us as we continue to build our international and domestic teams,” Gurin said in a statement.
