Discovery Communications has picked up the docuseries Einsatzgruppen: The Nazi Death Squads from L.A. and Paris distributor and producer Prime Entertainment Group.

The series (4 x 52) will air on Discovery’s American Heroes channel in North America

It reveals the “Holocaust by bullets” — a barely known mass massacre at the start of WWII, where nearly two million men, women and children were shot to death by Einsatzgruppen firing squads — mobile execution units — in Eastern Europe and the Baltics.

Einsatzgruppen has aired on channels such as France 2 in France, Polsat in Poland, Societe Radio Canada and Netflix.

Prime Entertainment Group’s signed recently several deals within the U.S. with Sony Axn, AMC Sundance, Reelz or NatGeo who recently acquired their documentary Those on the Other Side.
