Endemol Shine North America and Ryan Seacrest Productions have teamed up on the new talent competition series, Best. Cover. Ever hosted by Grammy Award-winning artists Ludacris (pictured) which will premiere exclusively on YouTube later in 2017.

Throughout the series, a famous artist will challenge competing musicians to perform a cover of one of their favorite songs. The musicians can perform the song however they want as they battle for the prize of having the chance to perform a duet with the famed artists, which will premiere on YouTube.

Musicians such as Demi Lovato, The Backstreet Boys and Jason Derulo will kick off the first submission phase, which goes through May 19th, where fans are encouraged to upload a video to YouTube performing their unique cover of these artists’ biggest hits: As Long As You Love Me (Backstreet Boys), Confident (Demi Lovato) and Trumpets (Jason Derulo). In future dates, other stars will encourage fans to record covers of their songs.

In the upcoming weeks, each artist will ask emerging artists via YouTube to record and upload a version of a specific hit song of theirs. Once he or she views the submissions, the list will be whittled down to a select few. From this list, two will be selected to appear in the series and put to the test by the artist to see how they might be as a collaborator on another hit song.

The series is executive produced by Ryan Seacrest and Ludacris. Teri Kennedy, Rob Smith, Georgie Hurford-Jones and Marilyn Wilson will also serve as executive producers.
